The full cover of the new Mars Volta album Amputechture is great, but kinda uncomfortable. I've listened to the album about 5 times and I'm really enjoying it. Which is unexpected since I didn't really think I was ready for a new Mars Volta album so soon. But it's pretty digestable and not as concepty as the last two. Also good cause the new Mastodon has been kind of a let-down so far. Where are the hooks?
Anyways, so far the best MV track is called Viscera Eyes. Which makes me think of:

I really expected someone at Adam Riff to make a WWE / prog-rock joke before me.
I somehow stumbled across your blog while in search of concert tickets.
I love MV and De-loused has been one of my favourtie cd's for the last year (I think I've almost worn a hole into it) I also wasn't sure if I was ready for the new album as the last one totally rocked my boat. I picked it up though and it was as good as I thought it would be.
Ill have to check out some of these local bands you speak of!
