continuing with the bird thing from the last post. last week i was in the yard watering the newly planted trees. a crow swooped down and landed on a branch on the tree i was watering, 3 ft from my head. it gave me a slight nod. i returned the nod. then it flew away. i yelled "wait! come back! you haven't told me who to kill yet!"

last night after dinner, i was bored so i decided to go for a quick late evening run. i usually run through the streets for the first half, and run back on the trails on the golf course for the second half. it was about 9:30, the sun was mostly set and the sky was orange. i had just run past a rabbit and a deer, and that was on the street. i hopped the small fence that blocks the golf carts to enter the golf course. i had the ipod playing Less Than Jake - Anthem, which really has been my anthem of late:

and we'll walk in circles around this whole block
walk on the cracks of the same old sidewalks

i was rocking out cause no one was around and i love songs about leaving town, when something hits me on the side of the head. the sprinklers on the golf course turned on automatically, and one was pointed right at me. the entire right side of my body was soaked.

it was pretty cool.
