i've been playing only happy music the last 2 days. so far this includes TOOL (only one of their songs depresses me, and it's actually a Peach cover), sublime (lots and lots of), strokes, gorillaz, dandy warhols, lake trout, cake, green day, cub, guns n' roses, sloan, and nashville pussy.

it's hard not to smile while enjoying some rockin' nashville pussy.

what else is happy music that's not crap?

comments:

all music is crap.

Satanic Surfers "best ever"

Are you having a breakdown? Do you need your meds?

You should really listen to more sloan.

We'll place all of them in death camps. Did I say death camps? I meant Happy Camps.

i think vnv nation is happy music - it's notably 'goth'

add stone roses, less than jake, and fun lovin' criminals to my original list.

couldn't find satanic surfers "best ever", but i found "what ever" which is pretty good.

breakdown? no. but i am breaking it down wif my mad flava yo. can i get a whoop whoop?

i like old sloan, not the new acdc/kiss sloan.

sum41 annoys me. they're this year's Lit. yeah, who?

since i'm a wannabe-but-never-will-be goth, i only listen to mainstream goth music. and even that sucks.

i rock out to barenaked ladies

Yeah, I agree with Danice... Barenaked Ladies (especially Stunt) are happy-music people. Also, listen to Weezer's blue or green album.

The best Green Day song to listen to to get your blood going is "Having a Blast" from Dookie.

"Do you ever feel so down you think you lost your mind?!?"

Quite simply: Tenacious D

josh is so goth, he farts bats

I'd have t agree with Jay on Tenacious D. And also, in this time of remorse we should all sit back and listen to some good ol' Beatles songs. While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Something and Piggies. "The Quiet One". God bless Harrison.

Yes, the D would certainly fit under that category. Try some Grandaddy, or Carlos, Floyd, The Who, The Doors, A Perfect Circle (with Manyard from Tool!).

Tool seems to put me in a good mood despite dark vibe it usually has, also, OK Computer, Kid A, and Amnesiac from radiohead radiate an utter sense of happiness despite it's seemingly intended melancholy, and sometimes bleak out look. And then there is sigur ros.....good shit,

Opiate if you're REALLY pissed off, Undertow if you're just mad, Aenema if you feel like reminiscing, or just listening to some top-quality tunes, and Lateralus if you're chilling - (or trying to get laid). Why the fuck would you listen to anything else?
